Dance Party Theme for Friday, 9th June 2017  – Denim and Diamonds!

Come along and bring your friends. Evening starts at 8pm with Happy Hour followed by our Dance Party at 9pm.

A denim and diamonds theme is a Social Dance Party theme that invites guests to wear casual attire but dress it up with fashionable accessories and jewelry. Dressing up during our Social Dance Party is optional. If you don’t want to – that’s fine. However having fun, dance a lot and share a drink or two with your friends – that’s compulsory! Dance your night away looking glamours and shiny!

As a general rule, lighter shades of denim draw attention to the body parts they cover, while darker washes create a slimming effect. For many women this means that dark denim jeans, and a lighter denim top or jacket is the most flattering way to go. DON’T: Wear a denim outfit that’s all the same weight or wash.

Interesting fact:

Who first made denim?
Jeans are pants made from denim or dungaree cloth. They were invented by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss in 1873 and a worn still but in a different context. Jeans are named after the city of Genoa in Italy, a place where cotton corduroy, called either jean or jeane, was manufactured.
